What do I need to bring with me?
- Your drivers license
- Money, for food and emergencies
- Your pre-tech form
- A legal helmet (see the rules for details)
- Proper clothes:
- lace-up shoes...no sandals or "flip-flops"
- long sleeve cotton shirt
- long cotton pants
- a cap
- a warm coat (if it's cool).
- Sunglasses
- Sunblock
- An umbrella, if the weather is wet
- A rain coat, if the weather is wet
- A folding chair
- Water to drink (about 2 quarts/person/day)
- Spare pair of glasses, if you wear contacts
- Food, if you desire (there is usually food and cold drinks at the track)
- A can of oil
- A can of brake fluid
- A few special tools...in addition to the normal hand tools
- Soft Socket and "breaker bar" to remove/tighten lug nuts
- Torque wrench
- Tire pressure gauge or pyrometer (IUHO)
- Flashlight
- Racers (Duct) tape
- Jack...a good one!
- The proper amount of fuel in your tank (see section on this in FAAQ)
- The proper amount of air in your tires...or an air pump...or an air tank...or too much air in your
tires (let some out at the event)
- A tarp (a big garbage bag works well also) to cover the stuff you removed from your car and put on
the ground also
- Trash bag (always seems to be a lot generated!)
- Camera...Slipstream covers are everywhere!
- ...but, don't bring too much!
