Autocross & Time Trial
What is an Autocross? It is a timed automobile
competition, where one car at a time drives a course defined
by pylons and/or painted lines on a paved surface. Penalties
are assessed for hitting the pylons or crossing the painted
lines. Historically, an autocross requires the ability to
look at a driving course (you get to walk the course prior
to driving it) and to anticipate what must be done to drive
it quickly...you don't get to practice! In contrast, a Time
Trial event is conducted on a permanent road course, as at
a race track, where each time you drive, the corners are in
the same places. You get to practice a lot for Time Trials...you
gradually bring your speed up, until you cannot improve further.
An Autocross requires you to go fast immediately.
The Maverick Region hosts several Autocrosses and Time Trials during the year. Below you will find a link to this year's schedule and online forms to register for the next event.
Autocross and Time Trial Schedule
We do offer several schools at the beginning of each season, however you may attend an Autocross or Time Trial without having gone to a school. We have instructors on hand at each event!

MSR Time Trial Info
On June 21st MRPCA will be holding its' first ever time trial at MotorSport Ranch! This is a double event with TT #3 and TT #4 being held the same day. There is a limit on the number of drivers that can be accepted into this event. The criteria for choosing the drivers that will participate are in order as follows:- Drivers that participated in last year's time trial events
- Drivers that assisted or participated in the 2008 Time Trial school
- Other PCA members
- All other drivers
REGISTRATION IS NOW FULL AND THERE IS A WAITING LIST! Please remember that even though you may have signed up, until you receive an email stating that you are CONFIRMED for the event (according to the above criteria), your registration is not complete.
