Maverick Region PCA Charity

Hope, Inc is the charity supported by Maverick Region Porsche Club of America. The support has been in many different ways, from actual dollars, clothing, household items, toys, computers, baskets and such for special holidays, to some service hours. We encourage our members to interact with the shelter, by taking their donations. The staff welcomes our visits.

Hope, Inc. a home for victims of domestic violence was introduced to Maverick Region in 1993 by our member Lanean Hughes, she then began the duties as the Charity chairman, spearheading our many trips, contributions, raffles, other means of raising funds for this worthy cause.

Hope, Inc. is located in Mineral Wells, Texas and serves the people of 5 counties, along w/the DFW area. It’s inception was in 1983, by a group of volunteers, of whom some still serve on the volunteer board of directors. It is a non-profit organization governed by a volunteer board, and is staffed with trained personnel. Lisa Huffaker, a former board member now serves as the Administrator.

Hope has been housed in a 100 year old home since 1983, the condition of the facility has deteriated, to the point where it cannot be repaired.
